"The Invincible Fortress"
From the Speech of the Leader of the Prophets

by Allamah Abul-Khayr Shamsuddeen Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Jazri ash-Shaafi'i

The book, al-Hisn-ul-Haseen, is a comprehensive collection of authentic du'a (prayers) and ahadith related to dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and du'a. It was written around 790 Hijri at a point when Damascus was under siege and the people were despairing- fire surrounded the city, food and water were scarce and the doors of the city were barred shut with the enemy on the outside. It this situation, Allah blessed the ummah by giving the tawfeeq to Imam ibn Jazri to compile this book. Taking refuge in these prayers of the Prophet , the trials of that time were overcome. Up till today, this valuable collection (an "invincible fortress") provides beneficial prayers for every occasion of a Muslim's life, from birth to death.

This English translation is based on an Urdu translation of the original Arabic work.
